Symposium on internationalizing occupational profiles and VET

Dutch sectors are challenged to maintain and strengthen their competitiveness. The Dutch government appointed 9 sectors to be our economically top sectors. Sectors which are of prime importance for the economy in the Netherlands.
Two of the top sectors fall within Aequor’s working field; Horticulture and Agro-Food.

To strengthen the national competitiveness is not enough. Companies will increasingly need to invest in international competitiveness. Adequate staffing cannot be solved within national borders. Innovation of knowledge takes place at a global level. For our business new knowledge develops also beyond our borders. It is important to get on top of this. The answer lies not only in techniques such as internet, but especially in the mobility of people.

Mobility of people is not obvious. That must be motivated, encouraged and .... learned. Here lies a challenge for industry and educational institutes.

There have been many initiatives to create conditions to support mobility. There are a European Qualifications Framework (EQF), a Dutch qualification framework (NLQF) and numerous other tools that has been developed.

Come and visit our symposium on April 24th from 12:00-17:00, Aequor Ede.  Listen, have a say and think about what opportunities business and education can utilize to strengthen their capacity and increase businesses results in the international environment.

Keep an eye on our website www.aequor.nl to subscribe.
